I've been praying the St Andrew's novena for several years now, and it's one of my favorite Advent traditions! However, the image on the prayer card I used was not my favorite, so when I saw Laura's sweet painting I knew I had to get one! ❤️

(I accidentally put this review on a Christmas card, so here it is in the right place!)

I love all of Laura's Christmas cards, and I think this is the only one I didn't have...I use them as art prints because they're so pretty I can't choose which to part with 🤭

I really do love the scene depicted on this card for a number of reasons. First the honey combed like back ground in indigo blue brings the central imagery to the foreground. Second the carpet like background of the night sky and the dark green field all framed in coccinelle red with the continuous ivy border establishes a gentle pastoral feel. The shepherds/musicians all have an intense stare facing the angel all while playing a variety of ancient instruments (harp, recorder/flute, bagpipes, concertina) gives the scene a Gaelic feel. The colourful hooded cloaks, leggings of deep green and orangey red combined with the bright white of the angels garb hint of Irish national colours. Of course there are the sheep and the ram the shepherd tend resplendent in their thick wavy fleece perhaps symbolic of the Lamb of God. There is also some wonderful botanical touches of oak and other florals to fill the corners of the scene all probably symbolic in their own way. Finally there’s the beautiful haloed angel emerging from the gold gilded corner holding the banner that exclaims “Gloria In Excelsis Deo”! Now I maybe in left field with my observations and comments, but I love this work for it’s beauty, it’s symbolism and most importantly the message it brings to all people on earth.

The ornaments were beautiful! Great size, and looked just like the photo! The wood edge gives it a very elegant touch!

This is our third year as a parish purchasing a Paschal Candle from you. Each year we are thrilled at how beautiful the designs are. They are worthy adornments to such an important, central feature of the Queen of Seasons.

Romanesque Paschal Candle

The paschal candle was absolutely beautiful, and so many parishioners commented on how stunning it was!

I bought these cards for my nephew who is receiving his first communion on May 3rd. He will absolutely love it!

I just wish they were bigger! Mary Magdalene looks so full of love for our Lord and he is expressing His love, but need to keep her from touching Him yet. It brings tears to my eyes.
