This is an original design, hand-painted with acrylic paints on a 51% beeswax candle. For this candle, I wanted to design something uniquely Marian, reflecting on Our Blessed Mother's joy over her Son's Resurrection. The Madonna and Child I chose for the sample candle is inspired by a medieval manuscript, but I can paint any title of Our Lady on this design, depending on your preference.
Incense grains will be provided with the candle.
Breakdown of Cost:
The base price (to cover the labor) of the Laetare paschal candle is $520. It takes approximately 18 hours to paint.
The price of the blank candle is included in this price, since I have to purchase it from a manufacturer. The price ranges from $37 (for the 1-1/2" x 34") to $240 (for the 3"x 60."
